OPP EXECUTE DRUG WARRANT IN CITY OF PEMBROKE
(PEMBROKE, ON) – On November 16, 2017 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the City of Pembroke. Drug paraphernalia, cash and various types of drugs were seized.
As a result 18-year-old Alyssa CHAPUT and 20-year-old Michael Thomas MCCALLUM, both of Pembroke, have been arrested and both are charged with the following CDSA and Criminal Code (CC) offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marihuana
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
MCCALLUM is further charged with two counts of Failing to Comply with Probation contrary to the Criminal Code. Both subjects were released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 16, 2018.
