Public Notice – Open Air Fire Ban is being lifted as of August 20, 2020 the Township of Laurentian’s Fire Chief, Tim Sutcliffe, is permitting open air fires with a valid permit as of August 20, 2020. You can obtain a permit online at: http://www.lvtownship.ca/forms-and-applications/burning-forms/. We ask all permit holders to familiarize themselves with the fire conditions listed on their permit. Propane devices are currently and will continue to be permitted. |
The Council of the Township of Laurentian Valley passed By-Law 2015-09-040, a by-law to regulate the setting of fires within the Township of Laurentian Valley. This bylaw came into effective as of January 1, 2016. Click here to see a copy of this by-law. |
All residents must purchase an annual licence for their dogs and cats. Landlords, please notify your tenants. Pet tags are sold onlline or at the Township Office at a discounted rate before the end of March. Tags can be delivered if you are disabled and unable to attend the office.
Sterilized Pets: before March 31st - $15; after March 31st - $25 Unsterilized Pets: before March 31st $20; after March 31st - $30 After March 31st Officials will be going door to door to ensure registration requirements have been met. The cost will then be $10 more per tag. If you are unable to register your dog at the door, a notice will be left to purchase tags at the municipal office within a specified time. Failure to comply will result in a fine of $120 plus full purchase price of the tag! If you require a dog tag for a Service Dog, please bring the certificate produced from a recognized training establishment to the Township Office. If you own a farm that is registered with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food please come into the Township Office to purchase your pet tags at the farm rate of $20 (entitles you up to five (5) pet tags). |
