The Province of Ontario announced a provincewide shutdown beginning Saturday, December 26th at 12:01 AM. The provincewide shutdown is divided into Northern and Southern Ontario – the Renfrew County District Health Unit (RCDHU) is considered part of Southern Ontario. Residents and businesses are encouraged to review the list of resources below and are asked to follow the public health and safety measures in place. The Township’s goal is to continue to safeguard the continuity of Laurentian Valley services that support the safety and well-being of our residents while ensuring the health and safety of our employees.

To help ensure the continued delivery of critical services to its residents, the Township office will remain open to the general public. Essential visits are required to ring to enter the building and only 1 person is permitted to enter at a time. Meetings with Township staff, where appropriate, can be setup on a case-by-case basis by phone or through the use of alternative meeting technology.

The safety of residents and businesses is the priority and the Township will be adapting with the following operating procedures:

The Township will continue to be available during regular business hours by phone or email to address questions and concerns of residents and businesses.
Documents and payments can also be delivered to the Township by utilizing the secure mail slot to left of the municipal office door or by regular mail.
All garbage and recycling collection will continue to be picked up as scheduled.
