For immediate release: October 18, 2022

We are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of the resurfaced tennis court at Pleasant View Park located at 90 Spruce Street West in Laurentian Valley! On October 14, 2022 a ribbon cutting was held to celebrate the upgraded multi game court surface.  Mayor, Steve Bennett, Councillor, Chris Pleau, Chair of Pleasant View Park Committee, Benita Richardson, and volunteers Audrey Oickle and Griffin Richardson came together to commemorate and to invite the community to utilize the exciting new feature.

The tennis court has been resurfaced with premium modular sport flooring, offering the ability to play additional sports on top of tennis including pickle ball, volleyball and basketball. The multi sport court at Pleasant View Park is free to use at anyone’s leisure with one’s own equipment.  Basketball nets will be installed in the summer of 2023.

Chair of Pleasant View Park Committee, Benita expressed “the park is looking wonderful, and I am very happy with how Pleasant View Park has developed over the years”.  Pleasant View Park is maintained by the volunteers of the Pleasant View Park Committee.

A big thank you to our volunteers who dedicate their time to Laurentian Valley Recreation! Each park and recreation centre in Laurentian Valley is run by a team of devoted volunteers. It is our wonderful volunteers that make our Township a great place to live and visit!
