Notice of Construction - Stafford Third Line
The Township of Laurentian Valley advises that our Public Works division will soon be making road improvements in your neighborhood. This project includes the rehabilitation of Stafford Third Line.
The project involves the rehabilitation of the roadway and drainage improvements which
include the following works:
- Full depth reclamation of the asphalt road surface
- Replenishment of granular road base material
- Ditching works where required
- Repaving of the roadway
- Shouldering of the new roadway
Please be informed of these works and particularly your attention - please obey:
- All signage in the designated work area
- Traffic Control Persons when travelling through the work site
- Vehicles and equipment within the work site
The Municipality is committed to working with you to help alleviate the impact of the construction on your daily activities. Every effort will be made to minimize any inconveniences to you. If you need to drive through the construction zone, please allow additional commuting time.
Construction is scheduled to begin on August 25, 2026, and all work should be
completed by September 25, 2026. The work will be completed by Township Operations
Staff, as well as contracted services from Greenwood Paving.
To accommodate crossroad culvert replacements, sections of Stafford Third Line will be
closed daily from 7am to 7pm, August 25th to August 28th, weather dependent with no
through traffic, including emergency vehicles in the work area. Detour will utilize Stafford
Second Line and School House Road. Civic addresses 2401 to 2569 can be accessed
from Stafford Second Line or School House Road. The remainder of Stafford Third Line
is not affected by this closure.
There will be no change to garbage and recycling collection services, except for August 25th. On August 25th, items must be placed at curb no later than 6 am. The Collection Contractor is aware of the upcoming work.
