It is getting close to that time of year! The annual LV Geo-Gnoming Contest is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 9:00 am. Last summer we received a couple hundred selfies and look forward to another successful event!
The contest involves exploring 5 different Laurentian Valley businesses to find Gnomie, our LV gnome. When participants find Gnomie, they’re to take a selfie and send it to us via our Facebook Page by private message or via email at contest@lvtownship.ca. Each Monday Gnomie will be placed at a different LV business for the week. The location and coordinates of where Gnomie is hiding will be posted on our Facebook page, website, and via our LV Spotlight on myFM 104.9.
Participants have a chance to win a weekly prize and a grand prize! To enter the draw for the grand prize, participants must send the Township at least 4 selfies (by finding Gnomie in 4 different locations). The Grand Prize draw will be on August 19, 2021 via our Facebook Page. A special thank you to Brandon Beaulieu of Century 21 for donating to our weekly prize pack this year! Please note: the contest is open to residents and non-residents of all ages.
Last summer’s lucky weekly winners included: Bev Robichaud, Eric McLaughlin, Griffin Boldt, Maëla Séguin, and Maverick Demers. For the Grand Prize draw, Gnomie had to be found 4 times and Mayson Dombroskie was the lucky winner! Congratulations to all and thank you to everyone for participating!
