Laurentian Valley Business Study

TOWNSHIP OF LAURENTIAN VALLEY, ONTARIO, April 10, 2019 – Laurentian Valley is committed to its businesses and the economic growth of the community. The Township is pleased to announce the commencement of the Laurentian Valley Business Study. The project is a community-based effort to assist and encourage local businesses to stay and grow in the community.

Business owners can participate in the study by scheduling a one on one interview that will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. We have retained the services of an outside consulting firm to conduct these interviews and they will remain confidential. These interviews will begin April 24th, 2019. If you are a Laurentian Valley business owner and would like to participate in the study, please visit

The study is a Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) program and is an initiative through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). BR+E projects are conducted across the province, and consist of confidential interviews with businesses.

Through this program, the Township can learn how to make our community a great place to do business. By connecting with Laurentian Valley businesses, the Township can learn and understand how to better support local businesses so they can grow, create jobs and stay in our community.

The results from the survey will identify the strengths and challenges faced by local business and will help create an action plan to foster business development, investment and job creation. For more information about the study, visit
