Animal Control Services
The Township of Laurentian Valley has by-laws that regulate the ownership and activity of dogs in the municipality. Please take time to review the municipal by-laws as well as the Provincial legislation that regulates your dog.

Pet Licences
All residents must purchase an annual licence for their dogs and cats. Landlords, please notify your tenants. Pet tags are sold at the Township Office and online [page link] at a discounted rate before the end of March. Tags can be delivered if you are disabled and unable to attend the office.
• Sterilized Pets: before March 31st - $15; after March 31st - $25
• Unsterilized Pets: before March 31st $20; after March 31st - $30
After March 31st Officials will be going door to door to ensure registration requirements have been met. The cost will then be $10 more per tag. If you are unable to register your dog at the door, a notice will be left to purchase tags at the municipal office within a specified time. Failure to comply will result in a fine of $120 plus full purchase price of the tag.
