Laurentian Valley Canada Day Home Decorating Contest

The Township of Laurentian Valley is inviting residents to show their national pride by decorating their homes with the red and white Canada Day colours for a chance to win some prizes.

To participate in the decorating contest, residents decorate their windows, doors and front façades with a patriotic Canada Day theme. Participants then send us a street view picture showcasing their Canada Day decorated home, by email to with their name and address by 4:00 pm on July 2, 2020. 

The entries will be judged by Township Council Members with the top 5 to be entered into a draw for a chance to win a Napoleon BBQ, generously donated by Raymond LaHay, Owner and Operator of LaHay Mechanical, Authorized Napoleon Premier Dealer. The Township encourages participants to adhere to physical distancing recommendations while decorating their home.  All photo entries must showcase the Canada Day Decor visible from the street. This contest is only open to Laurentian Valley residents. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.  Only one entry per home will be entered into the contest. Finally, all entrants agree that photos submitted may be used in the promotion of this and future Township initiatives.
