Mar 1 - Update: Threat to Valour School

UPDATE -THREAT TO VALOUR SCHOOL UNSUBSTANTIATED
 
(PETAWAWA, ON) – On February 28, 2018 at approximately 7:25 a.m. the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were made aware of a threat directed to Valour School in Petawawa.  Police immediately responded and began an investigation.  The threat concern, communicated on social media to a student, has been deemed unsubstantiated by police and there was no known threat to public safety.
 
Police have arrested and charged 19-year-old Colton Blair CLARK of Petawawa with the following Criminal Code offences in relation to this incident:
 
  • Mischief – obstruct, interrupt or interfere with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property
  • Personation – with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice
 
He was held for a bailing hearing on March 1, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.  Police are not seeking any further suspects in relation to this incident at this time.
