Police Locate Body of Missing Male

(WHITEWATER REGION TWP, ON) – On the afternoon of June 27, 2018, a combined search effort with members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Aviation Unit (OPP helicopter), Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) located the body of a male. 
On the evening of June 22, 2018, a swimmer was reported missing after being caught in a section of rapids adjacent to Grants Settlement Road in Whitewater Region.  He was located in the Ottawa River in the same vicinity. 
The body has been identified as Samuel Patrick Eli CHRISTIANSEN, 20-years-old, of Petawawa.  An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
