(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) – On July 11, 2018, at just after 6am, the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious two vehicle collision on Round Lake Road between Borne Road and Rahns Road in Laurentian Valley Township (LVTP).  The collision involved an eastbound passenger vehicle and a westbound Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) water tanker truck.  The LVTP Fire Department and the Petawawa Fire Department extricated both drivers who were taken to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries.  There were no passengers in the involved vehicles.


OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) members are assisting with the investigation.  The incident remains under investigation and Round Lake Road is currently closed between Buchholtz Road and Doran Road.  The road is expected to re-open in the early evening hours of July 11, 2018.
