SEVERAL CHARGES LAID AFTER DOMESTIC DISPUTE INVESTIGATIONS
(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) – On the morning of January 14, 2018 officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began investigating after a male party reported historical assaults while in a romantic relationship with a female. As a result of the investigation a 20 year-old female from Laurentian Valley Township has been charged with three counts of domestic assault.
The accused was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 27, 2018. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
On the evening of January 14, 2018 officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP responded to a report of a domestic dispute that had taken place at a residence in the Town of Petawawa. As a result of the investigation a 59 year-old male from Petawawa was arrested and charged with domestic assault and uttering threats.
The accused was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 27, 2018. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
On the afternoon of January 16, 2018 officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP responded to a report of a domestic dispute that had taken place the previous evening at a residence in the City of Pembroke. As a result of the investigation a 33 year-old male from Pembroke was arrested and charged with domestic assault, uttering threats, forcible confinement and breach of probation.
The accused was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 6, 2018. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
