OPP CHARGE YOUTH AFTER BREAK AND ENTER IN PEMBROKE
 
(PEMBROKE, ON) – On the afternoon of February 14, 2018 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a break and enter that had just occurred at residence on Church Street in the City of Pembroke.  The suspect had fled the scene after stealing a video game console from the home.  Police located and arrested a 17-year-old male suspect later that afternoon and the stolen property was recovered.  As a result a 17-year-old male youth from Laurentian Valley Township was charged with break and enter and theft under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code.
 
The accused was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Youth Justice Court in Pembroke on March 29, 2018.  The name of the youth cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
