DRIVER CHARGED AFTER COLLIDING WITH AMBULANCE
 
(PEMBROKE, ON) – On December 11, 2018, at approximately 12 noon, a motorist collided with an ambulance which was enroute to the hospital with a patient.  The ambulance was eastbound on Pembroke Street West near Munro Street in Pembroke when the collision occurred.  The emergency lights and siren were not activated on the ambulance and, as it slowed for traffic, it was rear ended by another vehicle.  No one was injured as a result of the collision and the patient was transferred to an alternate ambulance after the collision.  
 
As a result of this incident a 16-year-old female from Petawawa was charged with follow too closely under the Highway Traffic Act.
