NOTICE OF OPEN HOUSE TOWNSHIP OF LAURENTIAN VALLEY To be held at the Shady Nook Recreation Centre The Township of Laurentian Valley has initiated a new project, being the Community Improvement Plan (CIP). The CIP will be used to promote the revitalization, beautification and improvement of the Township’s commercial and agricultural/rural areas. The Community Improvement Project Area (CIPA) will extend throughout all of Laurentian Valley. The project team wants to meet with property owners in the Township and in particular, owners of properties where commercial/industrial businesses are operated or proposed, including farm and rural businesses, to discuss potential incentives for the CIP. A CIP is a municipal tool that can implement a package of grant programs to stimulate revitalization of the Township’s commercial areas and add value to existing agricultural uses and rural tourism areas. As part of this project, the team will conduct a workshop to confirm the direction for the CIP and further discuss potential incentives programs. TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Laurentian Valley proposes to amend the Official Plan and will hold a PUBLIC MEETING ON TUESDAY JANUARY 8, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. at the Township Municipal Office at 460 Witt Road, to consider the proposed amendment to the Official Plan. The amendment has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Sections 17, and 21 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended. PURSUANT to Section 17(21) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, you are hereby requested to submit your comments to the Township Planner by no later than 4:00 pm on TUESDAY JANUARY 8, 2019. |
